White Chocolate Pudding Shots

This is one of my favorite summer time treats.   They taste like a spiked Wendy's Frosty!

And it's really easy to make!

Here's the drink recipe for you...

White Chocolate Pudding Shots

Ingredients:

1 large box chocolate pudding mix
1-1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup vodka
1/2 cup Merry's White Chocolate Irish Crème Liqueur
1 8oz. package of Cool Whip

Directions:

Combine the chocolate pudding mix, milk, vodka and Merry's Irish Crème Liqueur in a large bowl, and Mix well with an electric mixer.

Fold in Cool Whip.
Pour in plastic containers and cover with lids.
Freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.

Makes about 30.

Tres Leches Triple Cream Liqueur

Here's another drink recipe that I picked up at the Chalet Party Shoppe Mother's Day Tasting Event.

Ingredients:

2 ounces Tres Leches Triple Cream Liqueur
2 ounces Bird Dog Blackberry Whiskey

Directions:

Pour ingredients in ice filled shaker.  Shake vigorously.  Pour in old fashioned glass, over ice.

This drink was such a big hit, the store sold out of Bird Dog Blackberry Whiskey that night, and was quite low on the Tres Leches.

If you like cream liqueurs, you might try shots of the Tres Leches Triple Cream Liqueur chilled.  Quite tasty!

The Marilyn Drink Recipe

I managed to pick up a couple of drink recipes last week, at Chalet Party Shoppe's Mother's Day Tasting Event.

This one was definitely my favorite out of all 9 tables, which is less than the norm for their tastings.  For some reason? there were no beer companies at this month's tasting.  Hopefully, some will show up next month, for the 'Disco' themed tasting on June 20th.

Back to the drink recipe.....

This one is called 'The Marilyn' and includes the new Three Olives Marilyn Monroe Vodka.  Very tasty!

The Marilyn Drink Recipe

Ingredients:

2 ounces Three Olives Marilyn Monroe Vodka
1 ounce Cranberry Juice
1 ounce Half and Half

Directions:

Pour ingredients in an ice filled shaker.  Shake well.  Pour into a martini glass.  Garnish with a strawberry. 

This one would also taste good if you rim the martini glass with sugar.

Play with it a little bit, as everyone has different tastes.  You may want to add more or less vodka.

Beer and Cheese Pairings

This is a little different than my normal blog entries.  However, I thought a few of you might find this as interesting as I did.

These pairings are from Cabot Creamery, and are titled "Beer and Cheddar, the Perfect Pair!"

Beer & Cheddar Pairings with Long Trail Beer & Cabot Cheddar.

Long Trail Ale & Extra Sharp Cheddar

Two of Vermont classics go great together! Cabot's Extra Sharp Cheddar pairs nicely with Long Trail's Ale. The full bodied amber ale has a clean, full flavor and pairs nicely with the smooth, creamy naturally aged cheddar.

Long Trail Blackbeary Wheat & Sharp Light Cheddar

This light and refreshing beer with a hint of blackberry flavor pairs nicely with Cabot's Sharp Light Cheddar. The crisp, fruity notes of the beer combine well with the nutty, earthy flavor this cheddar offers.

Long Trail IPA & Vermont Sharp

The assertive hoppy bite of IPA stands up in defiant contrast to the creamy smooth flavor of Cabot's Vermont Sharp Cheddar. This IPA also pairs well with Cabot's Monterey Jack.

Long Trail Belgian White & Hot Habanero Cheddar

The heat of the peppers and richness of this cheddar are tempered with the soft notes of citrus and clean finish of this all natural seasonal offering.


If you do not live in an area where Long Trail Beer and Cabot Creamery cheeses are available, try substituting a similar flavor with your favorite brands of beer and cheese!

The Keys Highball

Here is another great drink recipe for you from Pinnacle Vodka, using Pinnacle Key Lime Whipped Vodka.

Ingredients:

 

2 ounces Pinnacle Key Lime Whipped Vodka

4 ounces Club Soda

Splash of cranberry juice.

 

Directions:

 

Pour ingredients in a tall glass and mix over ice.  Garnish with a lime wedge.

4 ounces Grapefruite Juice
Splash of Grenadine

Directions:

Pour ingredients in a tall glass over ice and mix well.  Garnish with a wedge of lime.

Key Lime Cosmo

The Cosmopolitans seem to be top choice in some of my circle of friends, so I thought I'd share this Key Lime Cosmo drink recipe with you from Pinnacle Vodka.

Key Lime Cosmo Drink Recipe

Ingredients:

2 ounces Pinnacle Key Lime Whipped Vodka
1 ounce DeKuyper Triple Sec
3 ounces Cranberry Juice
Juice from 1/2 a lime

Directions:

Pour ingredients in a shaker filled with ice.  Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a wedge of lime.

4 ounces Lemon Lime Soda

2 ounces Pinnacle Key Lime Whipped Vodka
1 ounce Half & Half

Directions:

Rim shot glass with crushed graham cracker.  Pour ingredients in a shaker with ice.  Shake well. Strain into chilled shot glass.
