 Lost in Paradise Ranch Water

Ingredients:

2 ounces 1800 Cristalino Tequila

.5 ounce homemade blood orange oleo saccharum

.5 ounce blood orange juice

 2 drops homemade 80/20 saline solution

carbonated pressed coconut water

unsweetened coconut flakes (optional)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a shaker except the coconut water. 

Strain over two rocks of ice. 

Top with a splash of carbonated pressed coconut water. 

Garnish with blood orange oleo saccharum and coconut flakes for an offset rim and top with a blood orange slice.  

1800 Tequila Ranch Water Challenge

 I'm not sure how many bars I have been in across the country, ordered a Ranch Water, and they have no idea what I'm talking about.

1800 Tequila is spreading the word by challenging bartenders across the nation.

Here are some of the interesting Ranch Water recipes they presented  to 1800 Tequila.

Sol De Jalisco Ranch Water

Ingredients:

1.5 ounces 1800 Reposado

.75 ounce Clarified Saffron-Infused Mango Juice

.75 ounce Clarified Lime Juice

.5 hot honey syrup

splash of Cava

chili mango or saffron threads for garnish

Directions:

Fill glass with ice.

Pour tequila, saffron-infused mango juice, lime juice, and hot honey syrup.

Stir and top with splash of Cava. 

Garnish with chili mango or saffron threads.

Ingredients:

ounces 1800 Cristalino Tequila

ounces Clarified Watermelon-Yuzu Juice (See 1800 Tequila site for recipe)

ounces Topo Chico

Splash of Fino Sherry

Drop Saline Solution

Grated Lime Zest and Watermelon Spear for Garnish

Directions:

Add all the ingredients into a (highball) glass and stir with a bar spoon. 

Garnish with grated lime zest and watermelon spear. 

I really like the twist of the watermelon spear that this barkeep uses in his ranch water drink recipe.

I consider Ranch Water to be a healthy choice, as far as cocktails go, at least.

My favorite is what I consider to be the original Ranch Water Drink Recipe.

Ranch Water Drink Recipe

 Southern Living  came out with an article on May 19th, 2025 stating "Meet your new favorite cocktail".

I hate to tell them, but it's been mine for a year and a half now.  Glad they've caught up. 

Here's my version of Ranch Water.

Ingredients:

1 ounce your favorite tequila

3/4 ounce lime juice (fresh squeezed lime is best)

4 ounces of seltzer water

ice

Directions:

Fill tall glass with ice.

Add tequila, lime juice and seltzer water, in that order.

Stir lightly.

I usually use the Polar brand of seltzer water.  However, I was only a few cents shy of getting free shipping on Amazon, so I added this 1L bottle of Happy Belly Seltzer Sparkling water.  It is so bubbly, it's great!

Back to Southern Living, and their "Best Texas Ranch Water" recipe.

Ingredients

• 3 oz. blanco tequila, such as Espolon or Casamigos (about 2 shots)

• 1 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice (about 1 shot)

• Topo Chico, chilled

• Fresh lime wedge for garnish

Directions

1. Add ice to glass:

   Fill a rocks glass with ice—really, whatever glass you have on hand is fine.

2. Add tequila and juice:

   Add tequila and fresh lime juice to glass with ice.

3. Add sparkling water:

   Top with Topo Chico. Add fresh lime wedge to the rim of the glass. Enjoy!

4. As you notice, it's pretty close to the way I've made it with a little more tequila. 

5. Enjoy and please remember to drink responsibly!

Orange Beach Sunset

The Orange Beach Sunset is named for the town of Orange Beach, which is where the Villaggio Grille is located. Here is another one from their penny cocktail menu. Of course, they don't tell you how to make it or how much they use, so I've come up with my own directions.

Orange Beach Sunset Drink Recipe

Ingredients:
1 1/4 ounces Tequila
1/2 ounce Grapefruit Juice
1/2 ounce Orange Juice
splash of grenadine

Directions:
Pour the tequila, grapefruit juice and orange juice in a glass filled with ice and stir gently. Add a splash of grenadine and enjoy.

Enjoy, and remember to drink responsibly!

Blue Wave Drink Recipe

Here's another drink recipe from the Ginny Lane Bar and Grill Penny Cocktail Menu. Of course, they don't tell you how to make it or how much they use, so I've come up with my own directions.

Blue Wave Drink Recipe

Ingredients:
1 ounce Tequila
1/2 ounce Blue Curacao
1/4 ounce Sour Mix

Directions:
Salt rim of your favorite cocktail glass and fill with ice. Pour ingredients over ice and enjoy.

This is probably my favorite of the 3 recipes on their penny cocktail menu.

Rum Chata Drink Recipes

While Rum Chata taste mighty fine served by itself over ice, it is also very tasty in these drink recipes for you, from RumChata.com!

Cake and Ice Cream

Ingredients:

• 1 ounce RumChata
• 1 ounce Cake flavored vodka

Directions:
Pour in a shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.

Cinnamon Bun

Ingredients:

• 3 ounces RumChata
• 1 ounce Kahlua

Directions:
Pour ingredients over ice and stir.

Bourbon Cream

Ingredients:

• 3 ounces RumChata
• 1 ounce your favorite aged bourbon

Directions:
Combine RumChata and bourbon in a rocks glass over ice.

Javachata

Ingredients:

• 4 ounces RumChata
• 2 ounce espresso chilled to room temperature

Directions:
Combine RumChata and espresso in a tall glass over ice.

Cancun Splash

Ingredients:

• 1/2 ounce RumChata
• 1/2 ounce Tequila Reposado
• 4 ounces dark Mexican beer

Directions:
Pour the RumChata and Tequila Reposado in the same shot glass. Drop the shot glass into the glass of beer.

Ladies by the Pool
Ingredients:
3 ounce RumChata
3 ounce Fireball

Directions:
Pour ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Strain into a chilled 3 martini glasses, and enjoy with friends.

Tongue Tied

Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces X-Rated Fusion Liqueur
1 1/2 ounces Skyy Infusions Cherry Vodka
splash of grenadine

Directions:
Pour X-Rated Fusion liqueur and Skyy Infusions Cherry vodka in a shaker filled with ice and shake gently.  Strain into a martini glass.  Slowly add a dash of grenadine, so that is sinks to the bottom. Use a cherry with a knotted stem as a garnish.

X-Rosé

Ingredients:
3 ounces Premium Rosé Champagne
1 ounce X-Rated Fusion Liqueur

Directions:
Pour champagne into champagne flute.  Top with X-Rated Fusion Liqueur.

French Kiss

Ingredients:
1 ounce X-Rated Fusion Liqueur
1 ounce Skyy Vodka
1 ounce lemonade

Directions:
Pour ingredients into a shaker filled with ice and shake gently.  Strain into a martini glass.  Garnish with a slice of lemon.

2 ounces Skyy Infusions Coconut flavored vodka

Directions:
Pour ingredients over ice in a rocks glass.

Raspberry Margarita

Ingredients:
1 ounce tequila of your choice
3/4 ounce Grand Marnier
3/4 ounce Chambord
1/2 cup raspberries
1 ounce lime juice
2 ounces lemon juice
lime wedge

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in an iced blender canister.  Blend contents thoroughly and pour into a tall, chilled glass.  Garnish with a lime wedge.
