Alabama Iced Tea

Most everyone knows I've spent a number of winters on the Gulf of Mexico in Alabama.

This year I discovered a new, new to me that is, distillery, Murder Creek Distillery.

We had such a great time in January, we had to go back in February and bring friends.

Alabama Iced Tea is just one of the drink recipes I picked up from their distillery. I'll be sharing more with you in the not-so-distant future.

Without further ado, here's the drink recipe for you:

Alabama Iced Tea

Ingredients:

2 parts Murder Creek Dixie Honey Moonshine

1 part iced tea

little squeeze of lemon

sprig of mint

Brewed Iced Café Latté

Brewed Iced Café Latté

Ingredients:

• 1/3 cup Folgers Classic Roast^® Coffee
  Or 1/4 cup Folgers^® Black Silk Coffee
• 2 cups cold water
• 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand^® Sweetened Condensed Milk
• 4 to 5 cups ice cubes

Directions:

1. Brew coffee in coffeemaker using 2 cups cold water.
2. Combine hot brewed coffee and sweetened condensed milk in pitcher, stirring until completely blended.
3. Fill 5 tall glasses or cafe mugs with ice cubes. Pour coffee mixture over ice. Serve immediately.

Upside Down Cake Drink Recipe

Ingredients:

2 ounces Smirnoff Iced Cake vodka
1 ounce orange juice
1 ounce pineapple juice
splash of club soda

Directions:

Dip martini glass rim in icing and then into sprinkles.  Pour Smirnoff Iced Cake vodka, orange juice and pineapple juice into a shaker full of ice, and shake well.  Strain into martini glass.  Add a splash of club soda.

Iced Orange Cake Drink Recipe

Ingredients:

1 1/2 ounces Smirnoff Iced Cake vodka
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
1 tablespoon orange marmalade

Directions:

Pour ingredients into a shaker full of ice and shake well.  Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a slice of orange.

Iced Strawberry Shortcake Martini

Ingredients:

2 ounces Smirnoff Iced Cake vodka
3 fresh strawberries
2 ounces lemonade
1/2 ounce Amaretto Liqueur

Directions:

Muddle the strawberries and vodka.  Add the lemonade, amaretto and a little ice to the cocktail shaker.  Shake briefly but not vigorously.  Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish rim of glass with a halfstrawberry, if desired.
