Alabama Iced Tea

Most everyone knows I've spent a number of winters on the Gulf of Mexico in Alabama.

This year I discovered a new, new to me that is, distillery, Murder Creek Distillery.

We had such a great time in January, we had to go back in February and bring friends.

Alabama Iced Tea is just one of the drink recipes I picked up from their distillery. I'll be sharing more with you in the not-so-distant future.

Without further ado, here's the drink recipe for you:

Alabama Iced Tea

Ingredients:

2 parts Murder Creek Dixie Honey Moonshine

1 part iced tea

little squeeze of lemon

sprig of mint

Crown Apple Hot Tea Toddy

If you like apple, and you like tea....you'll like this recipe, that just came to me.

I know it is still morning, but the weather is a little harsh, this New Year's day.  I don't drink tea every day, but today it just sounded right.

Then, I saw the ripe apple slice on my saucer, left from breakfast. Let's add a little flavor, so I dropped it into my cup. Oh but wait, there's a little left in this bottle of Crown Royal Regal Apple, from last night. Let's add a splash or more. And to make it a true toddy, I added a spoonful of honey.

Crown Apple Hot Tea Toddy Drink Recipe for You!

Ingredients:
2 cups hot tea
one slice ripe apple
2 ounces Crown Royal Regal Apple Whisky
2 teaspoons of honey

Directions:
Steep tea. Add slice of apple, Crown Royal Regal Apple whisky and honey. You may like to add sugar to taste, if you're a sweet tea drinker like me.

Pinnacle Tea Cakes

Pinnacle Tea Cakes Drink Recipe

Ingredients:
1 ounce Pinnacle King Cake flavored vodka
3 ounces steaming hot water
1 orange pekoe tea bag (or your favorite flavor)

Directions:
Pour ingredients into a preheated mug and add tea bag.  Let steep to desired taste.  Garnish with a dallop of honey and a lemon wedge.

***Note: It appears Pinnacle is no longer making the King Cake flavored vodka. Taaka and Lucky Play both were making a King Cake flavored vodka at one time as well. Look around, sometimes you can find discontinued flavored vodkas in your local retail shop.

Pinnacle Tea Cakes

Ingredients:
1 ounce Pinnacle King Cake flavored vodka
3 ounces steaming hot water

Pinnacle Honey King

Ingredients:
1 ounce Pinnacle King Cake flavored vodka
1 ounce Jim Beam honey flavored bourbon
2 ounces lemon sour

Directions:
Pour ingredients into a shaker filled with ice.  Strain into a chilled cinnamon and sugar rimmed cocktail glass.

Pinnacle Party King

Ingredients:
1 ounce Pinnacle King Cake flavored vodka
3 ounces fresh orange juice
1/2 ounce Galliano liqueur

Directions:
Pour ingredients in a highball glass filled with ice.  Garnish with a cherry.

Pinnacle King Maple

Ingredients:
1 ounce Pinnacle King Cake flavored vodka
1 ounce Jim Beam maple flavored bourbon
2 ounces apple cider
1 ounce fresh squeezed lemon juice

Directions:
Pour ingredients into a shaker filled with ice and shake well.  Strain into a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

Pinnacle Citrus King

Ingredients:
2 ounces Pinnacle King Cake flavored vodka
1 ounce DeKuyper Triple Sec
2 ounces lemon sour

Directions:
Pour ingredients into a shaker filled with ice.  Strain into a cocktail glass filled with ice.  Garnish with a lime and cherry.

• 1 1/2 ounces Little Black Dress Pineapple Honey Vodka
• 4 ounces tonic water
• Splash of pineapple juice

Directions:
Add ingredients to a high ball glass filled with ice and stir. Garnish with mint sprig.

Little Black Dress Pineapple Honey Drink Recipes

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 ounces Little Black Dress Pineapple Honey Vodka
• 4 ounces Sprite Zero

Directions:
Add ingredients to a rocks glass filled with ice. Stir and garnish with a pineapple wedge.

Pineapple Honey Mojito Drink Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 ounces Little Black Dress Pineapple Honey Vodka
• 1 ounce agave nectar
• 2 lime wedges
• 3 mint leaves
• 4 ounces soda water

Directions:
Muddle lime wedges in bottom of shaker.  Add ice, agave nectar, Little Black Dress Pineapple Honey vodka, and mint leaves.  Shake to mix.  Remove shaker top, add soda water and roll to mix.  Pour into high ball glass.  Garnish with a pineapple wedge.

Light Honey Spritzer

Light Honey Spritzer

Ingredients/Directions:

• 1 ounce Jim Beam Honey
• 1 ounce lemonade
• Fill with Peach Soda
• Build in a tall glass and garnish with a lemon wedge

Now, let me see where I can find that Peach Soda....I know Nehi used to make it, back in the good 'ole days!

Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey Drink Recipes

If you are a Jack Daniels fan, then you must try Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey.  A blend of Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey and a unique honey liqueur, Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey is a taste that is "one-of-a-kind and unmistakably Jack" as stated on the Jack Daniel's site.

Here's their recipe for Jack Honey Lemonade.

1 part Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey
3 parts Lemonade

Combine ingredients in a tall glass over ice and garnish with a cherry.

Another take on the Jack Honey Lemonade comes to us from  mygourmetconnection.com, along with a couple of other Jack Daniel's Honey drink recipes.

1 ounce Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey
3/4 ounce Tuaca
1 ounce sour mix
4 ounces lemon-lime soda

Combine ingredients in a tall glass over ice and garnish with a cherry.

Jack's Tennessee Honey Tea

1 ounce Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey
1/2 ounce cinnamon schnapps
1/2 ounce triple sec
3 ounces of tea

Combine all ingredients in a tall glass over ice and garnish with a lemon twist.

Jack's Honey Ginger

1-1/2 ounces Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey
1/4 ounce lime juice

Combine ingredients in a tall glass over ice.  Top with ginger beer or ginger ale.  Garish with a lime wedge.

Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey Punch

1 cup of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey
1 cup vodka of your choice
2 cups cherry juice (or other favorite juice)
1 bottle sparkling wine or sparkling grape juice

Pour ingredients in a punch bowl over ice and add sliced lemons and cherries for garnish.
